Breast Feeding on the Tube What do you think about breastfeeding on the tube? Acceptable or not? I’m fairly certain that I wouldn’t want some woman getting their massive post-pregnancy boob out on the seat opposite me then suckering their baby onto it for a feasting. I think it’s a little bit out of order when all you’re trying to do is get to work. Especially on the tube! It’s got to be the most physically intimate space in London, too many people too close to each other for comfort and then someone gets a milky tit out. POW. Beat that! It’s not that offensive, it’s just a bit disrespectful and I know, breastfeeding is a totally natural process but so is having a poo and I’m fairly sure you’d be thrown off the district line for that…
Comments! JEN Wed 09 Sep 2009 NOT acceptable, not that I'm against breast feeding IF it's a baby and it really needs it, however what I witnessed was a toddler that could have waited until getting off the tube to get a fruitshoot instead of flashing some pasty nipple in my direction, there was nothing else to look at on the tube as I know the northern line map off by heart so I had no alternative but to sit and watch, put me right off my dinner.
