Happy Mondays go Ghost Hunting! One of the funniest things that happened this weekend was accidentally tuning into Ghost Hunting with Yvette Fielding. It’s an absolute CON of a show where they drag a group of individuals around some haunted old ex asylum/prison/castle at night to see if they can experience any paranormal activity. It’s been around for ages and has gained a cult following but has more recently it’s just been doing specials with celebs. Anyhow on Saturday it was the turn of the Happy Mondays and it was shambolic genius. Check out some of these monday moments: Sean Ryder is coming down a stair into a cellar when a ghoul touches him, he spins round, eyes wide as saucers and just yells “SHITBAG!” into the dark. One of them told a poltergeist to fuck off shortly before they had a bottle of vodka confiscated. Bez didn’t seem to believe any of it and kept calling all the spirits “mate”. After he’d been locked in an old jail cell in the pitch black for about ten minutes he was casually chatting away to a wall, telling the ghosts of some old prisoners “When I get out of here you’re all coming with me. Freedom!” Then he told a story about how he once smoked a haunted bong. I was in stitches for the whole thing. I’m not sure how long it’ll be up for but you can watch the whole thing on youtube which I thoroughly recommend.
